The SFμ
Founded in 1959 under the name of « Société Français de Microscopie Electronique » (SFME), the Society has been renamed as « Société Française des Microscopies » (SFμ) to reflect the opening of the community to new developments.
The SFμ gathers physicists, biologists and chemists who explore all domains of advanced imaging techniques and spectroscopies.
The SFμ aims at:
- enhancing knowledge and development of microscopy techniques
- providing practical training and theoretical teaching
- knowledge dissemination
- ensuring coordination of actions with commercial stakeholders in the field of microscopy
